Kandace has to be one of the sweetest women I know and I feel so blessed to have met her a little over a year ago at a mom’s night out. When we made some time to hang out this summer, I was absolutely delighted when Kandace told me that she was pregnant with her second. And then I was more than honored and elated when she asked if I would consider doing her birth photography.
But first, we had to document that sweet baby bump.
I love that we have a neighborhood beach within walking distance, and this particular morning was an absolutely beautiful morning for a session shortly after sunrise. Lonnie, Kandace and Owen met me down at the beach and we spent the hour just chatting and enjoying each others’ company, all while I documented the sweet connection this family has and my lovely friend who is growing another beautiful human inside of her.
While going through the photos after their session, I had the thought that how wonderful it is that Kandace considers me a friend because her smile looked so genuine and she looked so relaxed on the other side of the camera. I loved that I could document this for her and that she has invited me to be a part of her birth story.
