Carly, Matt & Maeva first came to see me during my Limited Edition Christmas Truck sessions last November and they had a big announcement to make . . . Maeva was going to be a big sister!
I could feel how thrilled they were to announce this to their family and friends. And I was honored when Carly asked me to document their maternity photos, as they prepare for this new addition to their family.
We talked through all of the possibilities for locations and decided on Historic London Town & Gardens in Edgewater, Maryland and it proved to be the perfect location for a springtime maternity session. Carly was resplendent in a dusty rose gown, and ee spent time in a sweet little grove, canopied by a beautiful magnolia tree.
We were fortunate to have Carly’s parents join us, as Maeva just adores them. They were on hand with cookies to keep her snack happy and we were sure to include them in photos. Grandparents can play such a big role in their grandkids lives, and Carly and Matt are clearly grateful for their role in Maeva’s!
We took advantage of magnolia trees in bloom, making a brilliant backdrop for maternity portraits.
Historic London Town and Gardens gives us both the beautiful atmosphere of the gardens and water views for a backdrop. As we wrapped up our session, we headed down to the pier.
And we finished our session with a video call to Great Grandma so that we could capture four generations of women in Carly’s family. What a wonderful way to document generations of love.
Carly and Matt, thank you so much for giving me the honor of documenting this time in your life, allowing me to be a part of your lives. You have such wonderful family bonds and I look forward to watching your family grow!
