Sweet baby Nicholas Destin made his way into the world on February 17th, 2021 at 7:10pm, weighing in at 8lbs 6.4oz, and he could not be more loved. I had the honor of capturing in home lifestyle newborn photos at Nicole and Ryan’s Pasadena, Maryland home and it was truly a joy to witness the love this family had for each other. Big Brother Will welcomed me at the door when I arrived and I enjoyed a tour of the house, including a visit to Will’s room where I got to see his favorite stuffed animals and admire his school artwork that adorned the walls.
I hung out in Nicholas’s nursery with Nicholas, dad and big brother while mama finished getting ready. When asked about how cool it was to be a big brother, Will might shrug but his actions toward his little brother told a different story. Will was loving, doting and affectionate and I know that he will be looking out for and loving on Nicholas as he grows.
We moved into the master bedroom and played on the bed, while Nicole and Nicholas took a break to fill Nicholas’s belly. And then we spent lots of time snuggling on the bed, everyone taking turns holding the newest, smallest member of the family.
We wrapped up our family photos in living room, and Will took a lap around the inside of his house to get his wiggles out. I was honestly so impressed by how calm and relaxed Will had been our entire session. He is going to be an amazing big brother and I just know that Nicholas is going to be following in his footsteps and working hard to keep up with him very soon. The love that Ryan and Nicole have for one another and for their two sons is very obvious and being able to document it truly brought me happiness.
Nicole and Ryan, thank you for giving me the honor of documenting this time in your family’s life. I am so looking forward to watching your family grow.
