Hi, I'm britt
I'm a boy mom to two crazy, fun, sweet toddlers, who change me and challenge me daily in ways I never could have imagined.
I love to dance and act crazy, and I am extremely grateful to my boys for bringing that side of me back out, as I may have tamped it down a little over the years for fear of being seen as weird or different. Musical theatre, Disney soundtracks and country music are my jam and I can rock out to any of them.
I'm an animal lover; my fur babies were my first babies and the primary subjects of my photos before I had kids. We are proud parents to two rescue beagles and three crazy cats. We do our best to provide them with a happy, loving home and a full life.
I'm human. I'm self-conscious. I can be overly sensitive. I get impatient with myself and with my children (not with other people's children, just mine). I'm a recovering perfectionist. I fail. And I'm still learning to accept all of these pieces of my humanity. I'm also kind, caring and empathetic, thoughtful, and excellent listener and a great friend.
I focus on families with toddlers and newborns BECAUSE I know how hard it can be to be in the thick of things with two toddlers running around like wild animals. I know how it feels to cry with them when we're all having a hard day. I know what it's like to feel like a terrible mom because I yelled because I was overtired, overwhelmed and stressed and they pushed all my buttons. I know how easy it is to forget that I am doing the best I can. I also know that I have the best job in the world as their mommy and that that can be hard to remember in the thick of things. But I can take photos that remind a mom of the love and laughter that they share and the sweet connection. I do it for myself, working on my self portraits, and I do it for other moms and families. I focus on families so that I can serve others with photos of shared giggles that, on the really hard days, will serve of a reminder of the wonderful job they are doing raising these little humans. I provide a fun and joyful experience that will be recalled as a day well spent for a long time to come.
